The road to Beijing begins on Friday, January 18, 2008 at the San Diego Sports Arena.
The San Diego International Sports Council has partnered with USA Boxing to host the “The Battle Across the Border” featuring the USA National Team against the Mexico National Team in 11 Olympic-style bouts for country pride.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Community Youth Athletic Center.

In anticipation of this unprecedented event, the Sports Council will host a Champions Luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the San Diego Hall of Champions from 11:30am-1:00pm.
This is your exclusive opportunity to welcome the USA and Mexico National boxing teams, see the matchups for the Battle Across the Border and meet the boxers likely heading to Beijing in ’08.
