Mr. Leslie currently serves as vice president of external affairs for AT&T in San Diego where he supports a team of professionals serving San Diego, Riverside, and Orange and Imperial Counties.
Previously, Leslie held a number of positions with SBC-California, Pacific Bell and Southern New England Telephone, including work in sales, finance, marketing and external affairs.
With more than 36 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Leslie also has the distinction of being one of the first male operators for Pacific Bell when he joined the company in 1972.
Along with his current assignment he is also the Chairman of the SBC-California State PAC.
Mark is currently on the board of directors for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, the San Diego Economic Development Council, the San Diego International Sports Council, LEAD San Diego (where he is the Chair-elect) the San Diego Police Foundation, the San Diego Bowl Game Association and United Way of San Diego County (where he serves as Campaign Chair and is the Chair-elect). He is also a member of the Century Club and the SD Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Mark has been a resident of San Diego since 1956 (with 6 of those years in Connecticut & San Ramon). He and his wife Elizabeth, a native San Diegan, have two grown children, Jamie and William. In his spare time Mr. Leslie enjoys golf and wood working.
